UK mothers earn £302 a week less than fathers, analysis shows

According to an analysis of data from the Office for National Statistics (ONS), mothers in the UK earn £302 less per week than fathers, which is one-third less per week and almost 20% less per hour. From this date, mothers are effectively working for free for the rest of the year compared to fathers. The findings highlight the persistent gender pay gap and the additional challenges faced by working mothers in the UK.
