How WoW's Legion Remix Event Is Taking Inspiration From Diablo

World of Warcraft's upcoming Legion Remix event is taking inspiration from Diablo to revamp the popular Legion expansion. The event will feature faster leveling, increased reputation gains, and an accelerated weekly content lockout schedule, allowing players to progress through the expansion at a quicker pace. Key changes include an enhanced Artifact weapon system, with new upgrade trees and the ability to add additional ranks to Artifact traits. The event will also introduce a Diablo-inspired world tier system, allowing players to increase the difficulty of open-world content for greater rewards. New Timewarped Obelisks will grant powerful temporary buffs, and the Mythic+ dungeon system will return with new affixes. Unlike the previous Mists of Pandaria Remix event, the Legion Remix will separate cosmetic purchases from gear upgrades, addressing a common complaint. The event will also roll out Legion's content updates over two-week intervals, with the ability to transfer characters to the current game version early. The Legion Remix event is expected to arrive in the next 6-8 weeks, setting the stage for World of Warcraft's next expansion, Midnight, which will be fully revealed at Gamescom.
