Baldur's Gate 4 Dev Still A Mystery, But New Studio Will Make Star Wars Jedi-Inspired D&D Game
Wizards of the Coast is planning a new Baldur's Gate game, but it won't be developed by Larian Studios, the team behind Baldur's Gate 3. Instead, a new studio called Giant Skull, led by former Respawn Entertainment director Stig Asmussen, will be creating a more action-oriented Dungeons & Dragons game inspired by the Jedi and God of War franchises. Wizards of the Coast is in no rush to release Baldur's Gate 4, as the company has several other D&D games planned for the next five years. Larian Studios, meanwhile, has decided not to revisit the Baldur's Gate series and is instead working on a new, unannounced project codenamed "Excalibur," which is still years away from release.
