Rangers close to appointing Danny Röhl as manager days after he ruled himself out
Rangers are close to appointing Danny Röhl as their new manager, days after he initially ruled himself out of the job. The fans had reacted negatively to the idea of Röhl taking the position. However, after talks with Kevin Muscat broke down, Rangers have turned back to Röhl, and he is expected to be in place for Thursday's Europa League clash with SK Brann. Gerrard, the former Rangers manager, remains out of work, while Muscat has stayed with Shanghai Port despite taking part in detailed negotiations with Rangers.
