Star Wars Is Officially Bringing Back a Fan-favorite Clone Wars Character
Star Wars Zero Company is the next big-ticket video game set in a galaxy far, far away. It's out next week, and on Monday publisher EA shared a new, final trailer for the turn-based tactics game ahead of its release. The trailer includes shots from cutscenes and of its XCOM-like gameplay, but fans were more excited that the trailer confirmed the return of one of their favorite characters. At around the 1:45-minute mark of the below trailer, Captain Rex, clad in his iconic helmet and armor, makes a cameo appearance. He's only on screen for a brief second, but that was enough to get Star Wars fans hyped. "REX! MY BROTHER! MY BOY! MY LAD!" reads one of the top comments on YouTube. Captain Rex debuted in the 2008 The Clone Wars film ahead of its animated series follow-up, serving primarily alongside Jedi Anakin Skywalker and Ahsoka Tano. He's been a staple of Star Wars media about that seminal conflict, and has been a featured player in later series like Star Wars Rebels and Star Wars: The Bad Batch.
