Google just asked the Supreme Court to save it from the Epic ruling

Google has appealed to the Supreme Court to save its control over the Android app ecosystem following the Epic v. Google ruling. The Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals had affirmed a permanent injunction that would force Google to allow app developers to use alternative payment methods and distribution channels, as well as set their own prices. Google argues that the lower courts overstepped, and that the Supreme Court might see the case differently, potentially agreeing with Google's stance. The company has requested the Supreme Court to pause the injunction until it can fully appeal for certiorari by October 27th. Meanwhile, the district court judge who issued the injunction has asked Google and Epic to explain how they will comply with it in court on October 30th.
