The PS5 update that adds DualSense multi-device pairing rolls out soon
The upcoming PlayStation 5 (PS5) system update will introduce two significant features: multi-device pairing for the DualSense controller and a new energy-saving mode. The multi-device pairing feature will allow users to easily switch between their PS5 console and other compatible devices, such as Windows, macOS, iOS, iPadOS, tvOS, and Android, by simply pressing a button combination on the controller. This eliminates the need to unpair and repair the controller each time. The new energy-saving mode, called Power Saver, will reduce the PS5's energy consumption by scaling back performance for supported games. While this mode will not affect the gameplay experience unless explicitly activated, it aims to provide a more eco-friendly option for users. The Power Saver mode will initially be supported by games like Death Stranding 2: On The Beach, Demon's Souls, and Ghost of Yōtei, with more games expected to be added in the future. This update, rolling out on Wednesday, is designed to enhance the user experience and promote energy efficiency, addressing the growing need for more sustainable gaming practices.
