Apple TV+ won big at the Primetime Emmys with Severance and The Studio

The 2025 Primetime Emmy awards saw a continued dominance of streaming platforms, with Apple TV+ emerging as the big winner. Apple TV+ took home seven awards, including four for its comedy series "The Studio" and two acting awards for "Severance." However, HBO Max's medical drama "The Pitt" surprised by winning the award for Outstanding Drama Series, while also earning acting awards for Noah Wyle and Katherine LaNasa. Netflix's "Adolescence" won the award for Outstanding Limited or Anthology Series, with several acting awards for the show as well. The Emmys again highlighted the ongoing shift of prestige and money from traditional networks to streaming services, with CBS and NBC taking home only a few awards.
