Marvel Super Heroes also lets Doctor Doom face the Fantastic Four Marvel Super Heroes is the second Magic: The Gathering set based on Marvel Comics, but the first with preconstructed Commander decks. While the basics of the four decks were teased in January, Wizards of the Coast just revealed even more details about each precon's commander and a few of the other cards included in each deck. The Marvel Super Heroes precons heavily focus on characters fans will know from the Marvel Cinematic Universe to maximize their appeal. But beyond offering the chance to kick off Avengers: Doomsday early, the set also uses one of Marvel’s biggest heroes to introduce a surprising but flavorful new archetype. Here’s a breakdown of the four options your pod can play together for a blockbuster-worthy game. Senior game designer Daniel Holt says this is his favorite of the four Marvel Super Heroes Commander decks. Rather than doing something akin to Partner–Character select from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, the designers made each member of Marvel’s first family a solo Commander with a four-color identity.
