"Stop Sh*tting Your Pants," Helldivers 2 Boss Jokes As Game Passes 500,000 Concurrents

Helldivers 2, the third-person shooter game, has reached a significant milestone, surpassing 500,000 concurrent players. The game's CEO, Shams Jorjani, jokingly asked players to "stop sh*tting your pants" in response to this achievement, referencing a previous comment he had made about players' reactions to the game's future plans. The game's surge in player numbers is largely attributed to its recent release on Xbox Series X|S this week. Helldivers 2 even features a Halo: ODST crossover, although some players have encountered crashing issues with the Halo assault rifle. Coincidentally, the same day saw the launch of Gears of War: Reloaded on PS5, marking the first time the franchise has appeared on PlayStation in nearly 20 years. Looking ahead, Helldivers 2 is set to receive an "Into the Unjust" update on September 2, which will task players with taking on the Terminid hordes underground. The game originally released on PS5 and PC in February 2024.
