Chappell Roan Brought Pride Back To Fortnite

Here is a 186-word summary of the news article: Fortnite has brought back its Rainbow Royale shop section, which offers free Pride-related cosmetics as well as some paid items. This marks the first time the Rainbow Royale section has appeared since September 2024, as Fortnite did not hold any recognition of Pride in 2025. The free items include sprays, emoticons, a jam track, a weapon wrap, and an emote. Paid items include the Prismatic Pride bundle featuring the Maizy skin and other rainbow accessories. Fortnite's skipping of Pride in 2025 had become a controversial topic, with some speculating it was due to the election of Donald Trump and his administration's anti-LGBTQIA+ rhetoric. Epic claimed they had missed the window while focusing on other activations and modes, though this explanation was questioned. The return of the Rainbow Royale section and the inclusion of queer artist Chappell Roan as a Fortnite Festival headliner are seen as positive signs, though it's unclear if this represents a lasting change in Epic's approach. The Rainbow Royale section is only available for four days, tempering expectations of a significant shift.
