In his new book, former LibDem leader and Meta strategist Nick Clegg has criticized the culture in Silicon Valley, describing it as full of "wealthy and macho men who think they are victims." Clegg, who has had three distinct careers as an MEP, an MP and deputy prime minister, and a communications strategist in San Francisco, claims that power in the tech capital is "interlaced with self-pity." The former politician suggests that the hubris and sense of victimhood prevalent among the wealthy tech elite is a significant issue in the industry.
