Iga Swiatek powers into first Cincinnati final with battling win over Rybakina
Iga Swiatek, the world's third-ranked player, has advanced to her first Cincinnati Open final after defeating Elena Rybakina in a hard-fought match. Swiatek recovered from an early break to win the match 7-5, 6-3 in 98 minutes. The Pole acknowledged the intensity of the match, stating that the pace was "pretty crazy" at times. Swiatek credited her improved serving as a key factor in her victory, saying she "wouldn't change anything" about her performance. In the other semi-final, Jasmine Paolini defeated Veronika Kudermetova 6-3, 6-7 (2), 6-3.
