Roborock graduates from vacuuming your house to mowing your lawn

Roborock, a leading robotics company known for its robotic vacuums, has announced its foray into the robot lawnmower market. The company unveiled three new models at the IFA 2025 tech conference, with the flagship RockMow Z1 featuring an advanced all-wheel-drive system, independent steering motors, and a suspension system to handle steep slopes of up to 80% (38.66 degrees). The RockMow Z1 utilizes a combination of satellite-based real-time kinematics (RTK) navigation and visual simultaneous localization and mapping (vSLAM) to efficiently navigate the yard, cutting up to 5,000 square meters per 24 hours. The RockMow S1 offers similar smart mapping capabilities but can handle slopes up to 45% (24.2 degrees) and cover up to 1,000 square meters in 24 hours. The RockNeo Q1, designed for "everyday lawn maintenance," includes AI-powered smart mapping and a "wildlife-friendly" feature that prevents nighttime mowing to avoid disturbing nocturnal animals. Roborock has not yet released pricing or availability details for its new robot lawnmower lineup.
