The Raspberry Pi keyboard-PC just got a mechanical keys upgrade

The Raspberry Pi 500+, an upgraded version of the Raspberry Pi 500, now features a mechanical keyboard with Gateron clicky blue switches and removable keycaps. This retro-style keyboard also includes RGB lighting for a touch of gamer-inspired design. The new model comes with 16GB of RAM and a 256GB NVMe SSD, providing a significant hardware upgrade from the original Pi 500. However, the kit is priced at $200 USD, which is $80 more than the non-mechanical version and four times the price of the base model Pi 5. Despite the higher cost, the mechanical keyboard and improved internal components make the Raspberry Pi 500+ an attractive option for Raspberry Pi enthusiasts who prioritize a premium typing experience and additional computing power.
