Oura redesigns app with expanded stress tracking

Oura, the wearable technology company, has redesigned its app to include expanded stress-tracking features. The updated app will introduce a new "Cumulative Stress" feature that provides a weekly overview of how the body manages and recovers from sustained stress, using data from sleep, heart rate, temperature, and activity. The redesign also includes a new stress management dashboard, which will be available on iOS and Android globally in the coming weeks. Additionally, Oura is working with the FDA on a blood pressure study to develop a feature that can identify early signs of hypertension (abnormally high blood pressure). The study will be available for US members of the Oura Labs early access platform in the coming months. Participants will be notified of their current likelihood of hypertension by combining Oura Ring data with information collected via questionnaire about family history, medication, and lifestyle habits. This feature is similar to the hypertension notifications already available on certain Apple Watch models.
