Pezzolano sacked by Watford after ‘resisting pressure to use players linked to agent’
Watford has sacked their manager Paulo Pezzolano after a brief five-month tenure. According to reports, Pezzolano was dismissed because he resisted pressure to select players who have a connection to the agent Arnaud Mogi Bayat. However, Watford sources have denied these claims. Pezzolano and his technical team were reportedly surprised and dismayed by the decision, as the team had secured successive league victories after a slow start to the season. Javi Gracia has been installed for his second spell as Watford's manager.
