Microsoft’s Xbox handheld is a good first step toward a Windows gaming OS

Microsoft has unveiled the Xbox Ally, a handheld device that runs Windows beneath an Xbox interface. The device allows users to log in and access the Windows 11 operating system using a controller, an improvement over current options. Once the Windows 11 interface loads, the Xbox PC app takes over, providing a seamless gaming experience without the need to leave the app. Based on the author's hands-on experience, the Xbox Ally represents a step towards a dedicated Windows gaming operating system, offering a convenient and integrated platform for Xbox gaming on the go.
