Tour de France: Onley lays down a marker as Pogacar keeps grip on yellow

In the 2025 Tour de France, young Scottish rider Oscar Onley inched closer to a surprise podium finish after a strong performance in the grueling mountain stage to Col de la Loze. Onley, urged on by his supporters, climbed to within 22 seconds of a top-three position. Meanwhile, the race leader, Tadej Pogacar, extended his lead over second-placed Jonas Vingegaard. The stage was won by Australia's Ben O'Connor.
