Nintendo just surprise-dropped a Japan-only SNES Mario game onto the Virtual Console
Nintendo has surprise-released a previously Japan-exclusive SNES game, "Mario & Wario," on the Virtual Console for the Nintendo Switch. The game is a point-and-click puzzle title where players guide a bucket-headed Mario through 100 levels, solving puzzles in a side-scrolling world. The game was originally controlled using a mouse, and the Virtual Console release maintains this feature, allowing Switch owners to use a USB mouse or the Joy-Con controllers as a mouse. In addition to "Mario & Wario," Nintendo has also made the SNES platformer "Bubsy in Claws Encounters of the Furred Kind" and the SNES fighter "Fatal Fury Special" available on the Virtual Console.
