Netflix adds Twitch-like clipping function, complete with an editor
Netflix has added a new Twitch-like clipping function to its mobile app, allowing users to save and share their favorite scenes from shows and movies. The feature, called "Moments," now includes a simple editor that lets viewers set start and end points to create "full clips" that can be saved, relived, and shared on social media or in text messages. The company says there are no time constraints on the clips, and users can make them as long or as short as they'd like. The new clipping tool is being launched alongside a new batch of Wednesday episodes, but the most-saved moment on the platform is a song from the recent smash K-pop show Demon Hunters. While the clipping feature is only available on the mobile app, data shows that televisions are still the most used device for streaming Netflix, accounting for 60 to 70 percent of the platform's viewership.
