Disney+ prices are increasing in October (yes, again)

Disney+ is increasing its subscription prices in the US, effective October 21st. The standard Disney+ plan with ads will now cost $12 per month, up from $10. The ad-free Disney+ Premium option will increase from $16 to $19 per month. Various bundle prices are also going up by $2-$3 per month. This price hike comes amid a backlash from Disney+ subscribers over the temporary removal of the Jimmy Kimmel Live show from the platform. Analysts suggest the timing of the increase is "ill-judged" and unlikely to entice subscribers to return. The price increases follow similar moves by other streaming services like Apple and Peacock in recent months.
