US president Donald Trump booed while attending Washington Commanders NFL game – video

In a surprising move, former US President Donald Trump attended a regular-season NFL game between the Detroit Lions and the Washington Commanders on Sunday. However, his appearance was met with boos and scattered cheers from the crowd at the Commanders' Northwest Stadium. The Washington DC area, known for its strong Democratic support, has been affected by Trump's cuts to the government, which may have contributed to the hostile reception. This was not the first time Trump faced a hostile crowd at a Washington sports event, as he was previously greeted with "lock him up" chants at the Washington Nationals' home stadium during the 2019 World Series.
