Logitech rejects AI gadgets: ‘A solution looking for a problem that doesn’t exist’

Logitech's CEO Hanneke Faber rejects the trend of "AI-powered" gadgets, stating that they are "a solution looking for a problem that doesn't exist." The company has no plans to introduce AI-focused products like the Rabbit A1 or the Humane pin, which have been criticized for their limited capabilities and poor performance. While Logitech does offer some products with AI-related features, such as the Signature AI Edition of the M750 mouse and the AI Prompt Builder in its Logi Options+ management app, the company's latest products, like the MX Master 4 mouse and the Alto Keys 98M keyboard, do not prominently advertise "AI" capabilities. Faber also commented on Logitech's pricing strategy, mentioning that the company had to raise prices by around 25% in early 2025 due to the initial round of Trump tariffs. However, with the ongoing "AI" industry boom driving up chip and memory prices, even low-end devices could face further pricing pressure in 2026.
