NFL gives Chiefs’ Rice six-game ban for crash that left multiple people injured

The NFL has handed Kansas City Chiefs receiver Rashee Rice a six-game suspension for his involvement in a high-speed crash that left multiple people injured. Earlier this year, Rice pled guilty to two third-degree felony charges and was sentenced to 30 days in jail, as well as being required to pay $115,000 in medical costs to the injured parties. The incident occurred in March 2024 on a Dallas highway, where Rice was allegedly driving his Lamborghini Urus SUV at 119mph and making "multiple aggressive maneuvers around traffic" before colliding with other vehicles. The suspension will keep Rice out of crucial games, including a rematch of the Super Bowl.
