Keely Hodgkinson crowned 800m queen of New York by Serena Williams

Keely Hodgkinson, the Olympic champion, won the 800m event at the all-female Athlos meeting in New York. Despite an injury-hampered season, Hodgkinson outclassed the field, finishing in 1:56.53. Her fellow Briton, Georgia Hunter Bell, the world silver medallist, took second place with a time of 1:58.33, while Shafiqua Maloney of St Vincent finished third in 1:58.57. The event was held at Icahn Stadium and witnessed a large crowd in attendance.
