Alexei Popyrin rallies to stun Holger Rune and keep Canadian title defence alive

Defending champion Alexei Popyrin rallied to defeat fifth-seeded Holger Rune of Denmark 4-6, 6-2, 6-3 in the round of 16 at the National Bank Open. The Australian's victory extends his winning streak at the Canadian ATP Masters 1000 event to nine matches, following his breakthrough title win last year. Popyrin, the 18th seed, will now face either Alexander Zverev or Francisco Cerundolo in the quarter-finals as he aims to defend his Canadian title.
