Vuelta a España: Philipsen sprints to stage win again as Træen stays in red

Jasper Philipsen, a Belgian cyclist, won stage eight of the Vuelta a España in a photo-finish, edging out Elia Viviani and Ethan Vernon. Philipsen, riding for the Alpecin-Deceuninck team, had previously won the first stage of the race. Meanwhile, Torstein Træen of Norway retained the overall lead, or the red jersey, from Jonas Vingegaard. The 163km flat stage from Monzón to Zaragoza saw Viviani's Lotto teammates try to lead him out in the final 1,000 meters, but Philipsen managed to push past them in the final moments to claim the victory.
