Lando Norris defiant after failing to take advantage of Piastri’s Azerbaijan crash
Lando Norris, the McLaren driver, finished seventh in the Azerbaijan Grand Prix, despite his title rival Oscar Piastri's first-lap exit. Norris dismissed suggestions that he should have taken greater advantage of this opportunity to narrow the gap in the championship standings, stating that he is "doing the best [he] can" and that he does not "care how people look at it." The race was won by Red Bull's Max Verstappen, while Norris was only able to gain six points on Piastri, who was leading the championship before the incident.
