A long-lost Ratchet and Clank mobile game has been found

A long-lost Ratchet and Clank mobile game, Ratchet & Clank: Clone Home, has been found and archived after years of dedicated efforts by fans. Originally set to debut in 2006 for Java phones, the game was quietly canceled just before its release, but rumors persisted that it was a fully playable title. A team of college students, aided by YouTuber The Golden Bolt, managed to safely crack the encryption on a Sony Ericsson W880i phone and extract the game, making it available for anyone to download and play. The game, developed not by Handheld Games as previously believed but by a company called JavaGround, is surprisingly good and even better than its predecessor, Ratchet & Clank: Going Mobile. The reasons for the game's cancellation remain unclear, with speculation that it may have been due to potential litigation between Sony and Handheld Games. Nonetheless, the recovery of Ratchet & Clank: Clone Home is a significant achievement for game preservationists and a rewarding outcome for the dedicated fans who worked tirelessly to uncover this long-lost gem.
