David Harding obituary
David Harding, a renowned sculptor and educator, passed away at the age of 88. As the town artist for Glenrothes, Fife, in the late 1960s and 1970s, Harding embedded his sculptures in the public spaces of the new town, such as underpasses, bus stops, and housing schemes. He collaborated with planners, using the same materials as the surrounding architecture, to create works that were not merely decorative, but served as a platform for memory, poetry, and dissent.
