Zelensky to meet Trump envoy in Turkey in bid to 'intensify' peace talks

Here is a 167-word summary of the news article: Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky will meet with a U.S. envoy in Turkey in a bid to revive peace talks over the conflict in eastern Ukraine. The Kremlin stated that Russia has no plans to participate in these talks. The meeting comes amid an increase in violence between Ukrainian forces and Russian-backed separatists in the Donbas region. Zelensky's office said the goal is to "intensify the peace process" and explore new initiatives to end the seven-year conflict. However, the Kremlin reiterated its stance that Russia is not a party to the conflict, despite its support for the separatists. The U.S. envoy, Kurt Volker, has been involved in negotiations to resolve the Ukrainian crisis, which has claimed over 13,000 lives since 2014. The talks in Turkey represent a renewed diplomatic push to find a peaceful solution, though significant obstacles remain given Russia's refusal to directly participate in the process.
