Hurdles queen Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone wins 400m flat at US trials
Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone, the reigning hurdles champion, won the 400m flat event at the US track and field trials on Saturday. She finished with a season-best time of 48.90 seconds, just two-tenths of a second off the American record. The victory secures her spot on the US team for the upcoming World Athletics Championships. In the men's 400m, Bryce Deadmon won the event after juggling his training with a day job at UPS. Other athletes who clinched world championship spots include Allyson Russell in the women's 800m, Cory McGee in the women's 1500m, and Hillary Bor in the men's 3000m steeplechase.
