Many Battlefield 6 Fans Played Beta Using Minimum Specs, Says EA

According to EA, the Battlefield 6 play test was the biggest beta in the franchise's history, reaching over 20 million players. However, a "substantial number" of these players were using the minimum recommended hardware specifications. Battlefield 6's technical director, Christian Buhl, emphasized the importance of supporting lower-end hardware, stating that the company wanted to capture a wide audience on PC. Buhl also addressed the game's unpopular secure boot requirement, which he says is critical for fighting cheaters, although he acknowledged that it prevents some players from accessing the game. EA has shared the PC specs for Battlefield 6 and plans to implement changes based on feedback from the beta. Battlefield 6 is set to launch on October 10 for Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and PC.
