Framework now offers Nvidia’s new 12GB RTX 5070 laptop GPU for the Laptop 16.

Buying it on its own from Framework, the GPU costs $1,199.00 — a $500 jump from the 8GB variant, which costs $699.00. As part of a full laptop order, the gap between them is $500, too. Nvidia announced the new GPU earlier today as a way to “maximize memory availability.” If you buy something from a link, The Verge may earn a commission. See our ethics statement.
