Microsoft squashes bug keeping the old Outlook from launching
Microsoft has released a new version of Outlook for Windows, which is essentially a web-based interface. Unfortunately, a bug has been causing issues with the older version, preventing it from launching and leading to Exchange login failures. Microsoft has now released a fix for the problem, and users should be able to launch the older Outlook 2024 version without any issues. If the issue persists, users can try using Outlook Web Access (OWA) or the new Outlook for Windows as a workaround. The transition from the older, locally-installed Outlook to the newer, cloud-based version has been a source of frustration for many users, with the older version of Outlook 2024 having an official "death date" of April 2026.
