Frostpunk 2 On Consoles Will Be A Day-One Game Pass Release

Frostpunk 2, the highly anticipated sequel to the post-apocalyptic strategy game, is set to release on consoles on September 18 and will be available on the Xbox Game Pass on day one. The game will offer two physical editions: the Icebreaker Edition and the Whiteout Edition, the latter including additional in-game content and physical goodies. The developer, 11 bit studios, has emphasized their focus on making the console version's controls seamless, and an upcoming update will enable the console version's UI for the PC version when using a controller. The Frostpunk franchise revolves around making difficult decisions to ensure the survival of civilization in an endless winter, with players managing resources and contending with social upheaval. Additionally, the original Frostpunk is already available on the console version of Game Pass, and the developer is working on a remake of the first game, Frostpunk 1886, which will feature visual upgrades, new content, and official mod support. 11 bit studios has also confirmed that they will continue to support Frostpunk 2 with free major content updates and paid DLCs, with some scheduled for 2025 and 2026.
