Lamborghini’s new plug-in hybrid is the fastest car its ever built

Lamborghini has unveiled its new Fenomeno plug-in hybrid hypercar, which it claims is the most powerful V12 and the fastest Lamborghini ever built. The Fenomeno boasts a combined power output of 1,080cv (1,065hp) from its 6.5-liter V12 engine and three electric motors, making it more powerful than the Revuelto. With a blistering 0-100 kph (0-62 mph) time of 2.4 seconds and a top speed of over 350 kph (218 mph), the Fenomeno represents a significant performance leap for Lamborghini's hybrid models. The car features a carbon fiber monocoque chassis and exterior, as well as carbon-ceramic brake discs and large air intakes inspired by the Huracán GT3 race car. Lamborghini plans to produce only 29 Fenomeno models, plus one for its own collection, with a staggering price tag of $3.5 million. The Fenomeno's design is intended to serve as a "design manifesto" for future Lamborghinis, as the company continues to explore electrification, including plans for an all-electric model by the end of the decade.
