The game's CEO, Shams Jorjani, has posted a message in binary code on the Helldivers Discord channel, which translates to "you're gonna s*** your pants," hinting at the return of an old enemy faction. Additionally, the official Helldivers 2 accounts have been receiving messages in Swedish, suggesting an impending invasion. The prevailing theory among players is that the Cyborg faction from the first Helldivers game is behind these messages. Meanwhile, players are already dealing with the Automaton faction, which has stolen the plans for Super Earth's Not-A-Death-Star space station, leading to a mobilization to the Automatons' home planet, Cyberstan. Arrowhead has also teased the possibility of a roguelite mode in Helldivers 2, but has not confirmed its addition. The developer has also addressed the news that the director of the Helldivers movie, Justin Lin, does not play the games, encouraging fans to "let Justin Lin cook" while they wait for updates about the film.
