The final details of Samsung's Android XR headset have been all but confirmed
Samsung is set to launch its new Android-based XR headset, known as the "Samsung Galaxy XR," later this year. The headset will feature a Snapdragon XR2 Gen 2 chip, a One UI-ified version of Android XR, and two controller accessories similar to Meta's Touch Plus controllers. The headset will have a high-resolution 4K micro-OLED screen per eye and a battery life of around two hours, comparable to the Apple Vision Pro. The headset is reported to weigh 545 grams, which is lighter than the Apple headset. While the release date and price are not yet confirmed, rumors suggest the headset could cost between $1,700 to $2,800.
