Trump launches probe into Brazil's 'unfair' trade practices

The US President has launched an investigation into Brazil's trade practices, which he claims are "unfair". The probe comes a week after the President called on Brazilian authorities to end the prosecution of former President Jair Bolsonaro. The investigation aims to determine whether Brazil's trade policies and practices unfairly impact US commerce. This move is seen as the latest escalation in the ongoing trade tensions between the two countries. The investigation could potentially lead to the imposition of tariffs or other trade measures against Brazil. The Brazilian government has not yet responded to the announcement, but it is likely to view the probe as an unwelcome interference in its internal affairs. The outcome of the investigation could have significant implications for the economic relationship between the US and Brazil.
