SpaceX Set to Launch NASA’s Crew-11 Mission to the Space Station

SpaceX is set to launch NASA's Crew-11 mission to the International Space Station on Thursday. The mission will carry a crew of four astronauts: Nicole Mann, Josh Cassada, Koichi Wakata, and Anna Kikina. This will be the fifth crew rotation mission using SpaceX's Crew Dragon spacecraft. One of the crew members, Nicole Aunapu Mann, was previously scheduled to fly on the Crew-5 mission but was bumped from that flight. Mann, a former U.S. Marine Corps pilot, will become the first Native American woman to visit the space station. The Crew-11 mission is expected to last approximately six months, during which the astronauts will conduct scientific research and maintenance activities on the orbiting laboratory. The launch is scheduled for Thursday, October 6th, at 12:00 pm EDT from Launch Complex 39A at NASA's Kennedy Space Center in Florida.
