Valheim Is Finally Coming To PlayStation In 2026
Valheim, the hit survival game developed by Iron Gate, will be launching on PlayStation consoles in 2026, five years after its initial early access release on Steam and three years after its arrival on Xbox. The game has already sold over 12 million copies and features cross-play between Xbox and PC. Iron Gate co-founder Henrik Törnqvist expressed excitement at the opportunity to bring Valheim to more players on the PlayStation platform. The game is still in early access and is expected to receive further updates, including the addition of a new biome called the Deep North, before it is considered ready to leave early access. Valheim has been widely praised, with GameSpot listing it as one of the best indie games to play in 2025 and one of the top 20 most popular Steam games of all time by concurrent players.
