Game Pass Prices Not Going Up For Everyone Just Yet

Microsoft recently announced a price hike for its Xbox Game Pass service, but the changes will not affect all users immediately. In the US, existing subscribers will start paying the higher rates from November 4th, while new subscribers are already required to pay $30/month for the Ultimate plan. However, Microsoft will allow users in certain countries outside the US, including Austria, Germany, Ireland, Israel, Korea, Poland, and India, to continue renewing their existing membership at the current price, as long as they do not cancel their subscription. If they do cancel and sign up again, they will be charged the new, higher rate. The price increase is likely timed to coincide with the release of Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 on November 14th, making the game's inclusion in Game Pass more expensive for users. Retailers in the US are still selling Game Pass Ultimate for $20, allowing subscribers to maintain the lower price for now.
