Garmin’s new Bounce watch for kids doubles the price, not the features

Garmin has announced a new version of its Bounce smartwatch for kids, the Bounce 2. The new model features a round design with an upgraded AMOLED screen, as well as the addition of two-way talking capabilities. While the new design may be more appealing to some kids, the limited upgrades may not justify the significant price increase from $149.99 to $299.99. The original Bounce had a square design and an LCD screen, while the Bounce 2 retains features like real-time location tracking and geofencing. Battery life remains similar, but a new feature that allows kids to download and listen to songs from Amazon Music could potentially reduce the battery life. The LTE connectivity still requires a subscription plan, which adds an additional cost.
