Microsoft unceremoniously kills off the Xbox Movies & TV store

The service has been discontinued, but users can still access their previously purchased content through the app. Microsoft has advised users to consider signing up for the Movies Anywhere service, which allows them to sync their purchased content across different platforms. While other third-party video streaming and purchasing apps, such as Prime Video and Apple TV, are still available on the Xbox and Windows stores, Microsoft is no longer offering new entertainment content for purchase. This move marks the end of Microsoft's foray into the digital video marketplace, which began with the introduction of the Xbox Video service in 2012.
