Ball x Pit, an upcoming indie game developed by Kenny Sun and collaborators, is set to release on October 15 for PC, Switch, PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and Game Pass. The game blends elements of Breakout, Vampire Survivors, and Space Invaders, with a pinch of base-building. Players will manually or automatically fire destructive balls at waves of approaching enemies, collecting and fusing different types of balls to create powerful combinations. With over 60 balls to experiment with and various characters to unlock, the game promises a satisfying and sticky gameplay loop. The base-building aspect allows players to expand the settlement of New Ballbylon, unlocking more power-ups and characters. The game's demo has been played by over 270,000 people on Steam, making it one of the most anticipated releases for the rest of the year.
