Valve confirms Steam Machine price and pre-orders

The PC-console hybrid was designed to be 'affordable' — then things changed Valve's new Steam Machines will arrive this summer and start at $1,049, the company announced Monday. The Steam Machine will be available in four configurations, depending on storage size and bundled with the Steam Controller: Valve says the first shipments of its Steam Machine will go out to customers starting June 29. To curb scalpers amid limited supply, Valve is limiting the number of Steam Machines that customers can purchase, and is restricting who can purchase one.
