US Attorney Jeanine Pirro said Sunday that the Secret Service agent who was shot at the White House Correspondentsâ Dinner last weekend was hit by a shotgun blast from the suspect charged with attempting to assassinate President Donald Trump. âWe now can establish that a pellet that came from the buckshot, from the defendantâs Mossberg pump action shotgun, was intertwined with the fiber of the vest of the Secret Service officer,â Pirro told CNNâs Jake Tapper on âState of the Union.â Pirroâs DC US attorneyâs office filed several charges against Cole Tomas Allen following the attack. âIt is definitively his bullet,â she added. A CNN analysis of hotel surveillance video released by Pirroâs office last week, coupled with audio taken from inside the ballroom during the shooting, does not definitively conclude when or whether Allen fired a shot. But the audio analysis does indicate that six shots total were fired during the incident, which aligns with initial statements by law enforcement that Allen fired one shot, while a responding officer fired five more.
