Pokémon Go's leveling system is changing — here's how

Pokémon Go, the popular augmented reality game, is undergoing changes to its leveling system. Niantic, the game's developer, has raised the maximum level cap from 50 to 80, allowing players to progress further in the game. The new leveling system will require significantly more experience points (XP) to reach the higher levels. For example, reaching level 51 will now require 15 million XP, compared to the previous 5 million XP for level 50. Similarly, reaching level 80 will require a staggering 100 million XP. The changes are intended to provide a more engaging and challenging leveling experience for long-time players, keeping them invested in the game. Niantic has also introduced new rewards and achievements to accompany the higher levels, further incentivizing players to continue their Pokémon Go journey. These updates aim to keep the game fresh and engaging, ensuring that Pokémon Go remains a popular choice among mobile gaming enthusiasts.
